RV Trip

RV Trip

For those of you who don't want to stay in a hotel room or go to just one place, RVs might be for you.  For anyone who wants to go camping, but isn't sure whether you are really ready and willing, RVs might be for you.  If you want to travel farther and enjoy the ride as well along with the rest of the vacation, perhaps it's time you started planning an RV trip.  RVs come in a large variety of sizes and comfort levels.  If you don't plan on spending much time indoors or just prefer to get away from the every day accessories there are some very high end RVs.  Some people make the mistake of thinking that all RVs that don't have way to many things in them are cheap, quality wise, but that isn't always the case.
For Those of you who like to sit back in the evening or before bed and watch a little tv or a movie there are RVs with televisions that are probably larger than the ones in your living room and a couch to match.

When Planning Your RV Trip

When planning a trip in an RV, make sure you have the proper RV.  Now you might not need something over the top, and you really don't need to spend too much money on the RV.  Otherwise you would have defeated the whole purpose of the trip and might as well have parked in front of your home.  On the other hand, remember, you are going to be spending a lot of time in the RV, so make sure you are comfortable.
Many RVs come with fridges, microwaves and maybe even a grill.  Most of those things should come standard does a bed, counter and a table.

Before You Set Off

Before you set off, be sure you check the weather and make sure you have all the safety and emergency equipment as well as all the manuals you may need.  For example, you should have a flash light, food that doesn't require refrigeration, smoke detectors, insurance, cash, credit cards, and anything else really.  It all depends on where you are going.  Make sure you also have maps and know where you are going to be parking.

Driving An RV

Always remember that an RV is HUGE and that while the manufacturer did compensate for that you will need more room to stop, more room to turn, more time to accelerate and you will have a higher center of gravity.  Also be aware of the fact that RVs do not get very good gas milage and are taller than you average car.  Both of these are important to remember when you pull into a gas station.
